Solve Customer’s Concerns

The customer had bought this material from another supplier before. He didn't know much about this material, so his only requirement was that we provide the same product as they had purchased before. After in-depth communication, we determined that the customer needed the HIP (hot isostatic pressing) process. This is a special process in powder metallurgy. It costs more, but it can produce a material with better performance.

In addition, the customer required us to package the two materials separately after production. This way they can receive a portion of the goods by express delivery first to solve his urgent needs.

I'm not familiar with this product so one question I have is, is there a difference between Satellite 20 and "Hipped" Satellite 20? My previous documentation specifies "Hipped" Satellite 20, I just want to make sure I'm getting the correct product.

In my experience, the material you are looking for is exactly Stellite 20, the same material we offer. "Hipped" should refer to the HIP (Hot Isostatic Pressing) process. It is a kind of alloying process in powder metallurgy.

August could you please provide the same quote as before but using the HIP process, as we have used this in the past and would like to continue using the same process. Thank you for your time and information.

No problem. Attached please kindly find the updated quotation.

Is there anyway we can expedite 2 of those pcs.? Maybe by air? Let me know if you think this is possible. I can pay the extra cost.

Since the price term is FOB, you can arrange the shipping method yourself according to your freedom. Therefore, there is no problem in transporting in two batches, but the FOB price will increase to a certain extent.

Price Term

FOB

Free on Board

FOB is our default option. Customers can find the corresponding freight forwarder according to their needs. For this order, the customer needs to ship the materials separately. This situation is very suitable for FOB terms because customers can find different freight forwarders separately to play their respective advantages.

Logistics

Air Freight + Express

The customer finally chose to have part of the materials delivered directly to the door by express delivery, which can minimize the transportation time. The remaining materials are transported by air. This is indeed a more reasonable solution.
