MONEL® nickel-copper alloy R-405 (UNS N04405) is the free-machining grade of alloy 400. Its greater sulfur content enhances machinability. It has essentially the same corrosion resistance and physical properties as alloy 400, but a slightly different range of mechanical properties.
Monel R-405 hexagon bar (hex bar, hexagonal bar) is a nickel alloy bar with a hexagon cross-section. Since it can be used as the raw material for many Monel R-405 fasteners (such as Monel R-405 screws, Monel R-405 nuts, etc.), it is also one of our most popular Monel R-405 bar products. We can provide hot-rolled, cold-drawn or forged Monel R-405 hexagon bars. The common finish of Monel R-405 hexagon bar is polished finish.
