Monel 400 (UNS N04400) is a solid solution strengthened corrosion resistant alloy. Due to its high nickel content and high copper content, Monel 400 has corrosion resistance unmatched by other alloys in flowing seawater. Therefore, Monel 400 is widely used in the marine industry. Compared to other nickel alloys, Monel 400 is rarely used in high temperature applications.
We manufacture Monel 400 wire according to ASTM B164 by default. Our Monel 400 wire is precision cold drawn to achieve very high diameter accuracy. In the standard, Monel 400 wire is specified in various delivery states. We can customize the tensile strength of wire according to your requirements. This is something a lot of suppliers won't care about.

Monel 400 has a lot of nickel and copper. These elements are all good corrosion-resistant elements, so that Monel 400 will not be corroded in flowing seawater. Manufacturers should perform chemical analysis of the alloy in accordance with ASTM B880.
