Inconel 690 (ENiCrFe-7) Welding Electrode Supplier
As a trustworthy nickel alloy supplier, AEETHER manufacture all sizes of Inconel 690 (AWS A5.11 ENiCrFe-7) welding electrode.
The nominal composition (wt %) of weld metal produced by electrodes of Inconel 690 is 55 Ni, 29 Cr, 9.5 Fe, 3 Mn, and 1.5 Nb plus Ta. Electrodes of Inconel 690 are used for welding the nickel-chromium-iron alloy with UNS Number N06690. Typical specifications for the nickel-chromium-iron base metal are ASTM B166, B167, and B168. The electrodes may also be used for the welding of nickel-chromium-iron alloys to steels and stainless steels, and for corrosion-resistant overlays on steels. Specification of values for boron and zirconium are helpful in reducing the tendency for ductility dip cracking. Electrodes through the 1/8 in [3.2 mm] size can be used for welding in all positions. Electrodes larger than that are used only in the flat and horizontal positions.
Chemical Composition of Inconel 690
*Chemical Composition According to AWS A5.11
Compared with ERNiCr-7 filler metal, ENiCrFe-7 welding electrode has looser requirements for trace elements and lower requirements for chromium content. However, it limits the aluminum content and requires more niobium plus tantalum.
