INCONEL® alloy 686 (UNS N06686 / W.Nr. 2.4606) is a single-phase, austenitic Ni-Cr-Mo-W alloy offering outstanding corrosion-resistance in a range of severe environments. Its high nickel (Ni) and molybdenum (Mo) provide good resistance in reducing conditions, and high chromium (Cr) offers resistance to oxidizing media.

Inconel 686 thick-walled pipe is a seamless, thick-walled Inconel 686 pipe. Compared with Inconel 686 seamless pipe, it not only inherits high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, but also has better high pressure resistance. Therefore, Inconel 686 thick-walled tubes are often used in high-pressure equipment. In the manufacturing process, due to the thicker wall thickness, cold rolling and cold drawing processes are no longer applicable, so the Inconel 686 thick-walled pipe is perforated and hot-rolled from Inconel 686 round bar.
