Hastelloy B-2 is a solid solution strengthened, nickel-molybdenum alloy, with significant resistance to reducing environments like hydrogen chloride gas, and sulfuric, acetic and phosphoric acids. Molybdenum is the primary alloying element which provides significant corrosion resistance to reducing environments.

Hastelloy B-2 thick-walled pipe is a seamless, thick-walled Hastelloy B-2 pipe. Compared with Hastelloy B-2 seamless pipe, it not only inherits high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, but also has better high pressure resistance. Therefore, Hastelloy B-2 thick-walled tubes are often used in high-pressure equipment. In the manufacturing process, due to the thicker wall thickness, cold rolling and cold drawing processes are no longer applicable, so the Hastelloy B-2 thick-walled pipe is perforated and hot-rolled from Hastelloy B-2 round bar.
